Puzzle #2: Mirror

Question:

Why does a mirror reverse right and left instead of up and down?

Answer:

A mirror is nothing but a reflection of what's in front of it. Its not a reproduction of what it sees. You can say a mirror shows exactly the same thing that you will see when you are standing right in front of you. So when you stand in front of you you will see your reverse of right to left and that's what exactly the mirror that's placed in front of you shows.

In a scenario where the mirror is place below you in that case the mirror shows the reverse of you upside down, in this case also the same logic of you standing in the mirror's place will show you how it will look.

So it depends on which angle you look at the mirror and based on that it will be left and right or up and down.
